Sangoku Setsujozu (A Map of Three Adjoining Countries), a map attached to Sangoku Tsuran Zusetsu (An Illustrated General Survey of Three Countries) In this map, the three countries surrounding Japan are colored in their respective hue. Two islands are drawn in the middle of the Sea of Korea (East Sea). A larger island on the left is marked as Jukdo (Ulleungdo) and a smaller island on its right is Dokdo. Both islands are yellow, the color for Korea in the map. Both Ulleungdo and Dokdo are treated as territories of Korea and Dokdo is drawn adjacent to Ulleungdo.
